What is Iridology?

Iridology is an assessment tool used to examine the colored portion of the eye (the iris).

​

The iris contains over 28,000 nerve endings that connect to the brain through the optic nerve, a key part of the central nervous system. Through this intricate network, every organ, tissue, and gland in the body is believed to be linked directly or indirectly to the iris.

​

In Iridology, most of the organs on the right side of the body corresponds with a specific region in the right iris, the same applies to the left side of the body and left iris.

​

The eyes contain a map of the state of our overall health and vitality. Iridology is the key used to read the map and can help identify current and/or future health obstacles as a way to effectively navigate the road to wellness.

What is an Iris Analysis?

An iris analysis is a non-invasive technique used to identify genetic strengths and potential deficiencies within the body.

Iridology cameras or cell phone imaging adaptors may be used in place of a magnifying glass and pen light to capture still photos of the eye for review during an Iris Analysis. Iris color, structure, signs, and markings are observed to help identify personality and emotional tendencies, as well as genetic strengths and deficiencies.

An Iris Chart detailing the body’s organs, glands, and tissues serves as a reference tool, enabling the Iridologist to pinpoint areas of the body that may be overactive, underactive, or in need of additional support.​

What Iridology Can Tell You

By evaluating the color, structure, signs, and markings observed in the iris, as well as vascular patterns in the sclera (whites of the eye), Iridology has been used to gather information about:

​

  • Family history of health disorders

  • Strength and weakness of tissues, glands, organs, and systems

  • Nutrient imbalances

  • Ability to resist and recover from sickness and dis-ease

  • Toxicity within the body

  • Lymphatic congestion

  • Inflammation

  • Nervous system disparities

  • Spinal displacement

  • Circulatory disturbances

  • Root causes of illnesses

​This information assists Iridologists in making informed and comprehensive suggestions for healing by utilizing diet, herbs, exercise, lifestyle changes, and other natural foundations of health.

What Iridology Cannot Tell You

As Iridologist we do not diagnose, treat, or cure, and therefore Iridology cannot:​

​

  • Name specific diseases

  • Determine pregnancy

  • Predict life span or future health

  • Confirm virus, germ, parasite, or bacteria presence

  • Determine if surgery has occurred or is needed

  • Indicate the presence of tumors

  • Show kidney or gallstones​​​
